Overview
The IWFA Scholarship Trust was created to financially support qualified graduate students studying Marine Science. For the purposes of this program, Marine Science is defined as “the study of the ocean, its ecosystems, and its life forms, as well as the study of coastal environments, oceanic currents, and the sea floor.” Each year the Board of Trustees selects recipients and determines award amounts to help cover research and related costs. Awards are competitive and generally fall between $1,000 and $3,000, with the Trustees having final discretion on the number and size of grants.
