Evelyn Johnson Entrekin Scholarship
This award commemorates the late Evelyn Johnson Entrekin, a distinguished public health nursing leader in South Carolina. Ms. Entrekin served with SCDHEC for more than 20 years and guided her district to become the first in the state to earn national accreditation. The endowment is funded by her estate and additional gifts, and is designated for students pursuing a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.

At Clark & Howell we recognize how common motorcycle crashes remain across the country. While Maine is consistently ranked among the three safest states to drive in the U.S., the state recently experienced nearly a threefold increase in motorcycle fatalities compared with earlier years. New Hampshire also reported a 6% rise in crash-related deaths in 2024. With a goal of improving roadway safety and reducing these tragic outcomes, we are launching the 2026 Headlights for Hope Scholarship to encourage awareness and generate practical ideas for preventing motorcycle accidents and distracted driving.
