Housing recipients must purchase a meal plan, apply separately for housing, and pay the housing deposit; release from the meal plan may create room charges for the student.
Maintaining the Award: Students must accept the award by the stated deadline, enroll full-time on the ASUJ campus, follow housing and meal-plan requirements when applicable, and notify the Scholarships Office of any changes in plans or grade records.
- Full-time status: 15 ASUJ credit hours each Fall and Spring.
- Housing requires a meal plan, separate housing application, and deposit.
- Enrollment elsewhere or full-time enrollment at another institution forfeits the scholarship.
Renewal and Retention
Renewal depends on academic performance and completion of required ASUJ hours each academic year. Students must maintain an overall 3.250 GPA and successfully complete 30 ASUJ credit hours (Fall and Spring combined) annually; accepted transfer credits are included in the overall GPA calculation. Students who do not meet renewal criteria at the end of the spring term may be given a probationary period through the end of Summer II to meet the standard, otherwise the scholarship will be forfeited.
Renewal Requirements: Maintain a 3.250 overall GPA, complete 30 ASUJ hours per academic year, avoid academic patterns that result in forfeiture, and satisfy probation requirements within the summer window if applicable.
- Overall GPA required: 3.250.
- Yearly credit requirement: 30 ASUJ hours.
- Failure to meet criteria can result in immediate loss of the scholarship; probation rules apply for some recipients.
