Introduction
Since 1992 the Lee County Farm Bureau Foundation has awarded 110 scholarships to students pursuing education related to agriculture.

High School Senior Scholarship Application — available awards
This application may be used to apply for the following scholarships:
- Lee County Farm Bureau Foundation High School Scholarship(s)
- Dave Gorman Memorial Scholarship
- Gentry Family Agriculture Scholarship
- Carol & Ted Schoch Memorial Scholarship(s)
- Sylvan & Virginia Leffelman “Leave a Legacy” Scholarship

Scholarship details
- Lee County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship(s): Awards of $1,500 each. The exact number of scholarships granted will depend on how many applicants meet the requirements and on available funding.
- Dave Gorman Memorial Scholarship: One $1,500 award given in memory of the late David Gorman, a former member of the Lee County Farm Bureau Board of Directors.
- Gentry Family Agriculture Scholarship: One $1,500 award supporting a student who is majoring in agriculture or pursuing an ag-related career; established by the Gentry Family to encourage future leaders in the agricultural industry.
- Carol & Ted Schoch Memorial Scholarship(s): Awards ranging from $1,000 to $2,000, with amounts and the number of recipients determined by the pool of qualified candidates. This scholarship honors Carol and Ted Schoch’s commitment to helping young people continue their education after high school.
- Sylvan & Virginia Leffelman “Leave a Legacy” Scholarship: One $1,000 award honoring long-time Lee County Farm Bureau members Sylvan and Virginia Leffelman for their dedication to community giving and lasting impact.

Eligibility requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a high school senior.
- Be a Lee County Farm Bureau member in good standing or the dependent of a Lee County Farm Bureau member in good standing (as defined in the Lee County Farm Bureau bylaws).
- Be enrolled or planning to enroll at a post-secondary institution in a program leading to a career connected to agriculture OR be pursuing a trade, technical, or certification program within the Career Technical Education pathway.
- Demonstrate potential for successful completion of their chosen course of study.

Additional requirement for the Gentry Family Agriculture Scholarship
- Minimum of two years’ participation in 4-H or FFA is required.

Selection criteria
Applications will be evaluated on factors including:
- Academic achievement
- Demonstrated interest and involvement in the agriculture industry
- A clear, realistic plan and goals showing the student is likely to complete their educational program

Terms and disbursement
- Scholarship funds are paid directly to the student after the Foundation receives the final grades for the semester completed following scholarship notification.
- High school senior recipients must submit those grades by January 15.
- Applicants agree to allow use of their name and photograph for media announcements when recipients are announced.

Deadline
All application materials must be completed and submitted by February 15 at 11:59 p.m.
