Greater Jacksonville Fair Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Greater Jacksonville Fair Association
For nearly seven decades, the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair Association has proudly donated over $2.6 million to local charities and provided scholarships to deserving students seeking to advance their education. The Association's aim in providing these scholarships is to foster personal development and support eligible students who intend to pursue studies in agriculture, veterinary medicine, and other disciplines.
Eligibility for the scholarship requires the student to live in one of the following Florida counties: Duval, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Nassau, or St. Johns. Applicants must be at least in their senior year of high school and either enrolled or intending to enroll in a four-year university, junior college, or technical institution at the time of application.
The Scholarship Committee will only consider complete application packets, which should include:
- The application form
- The applicant's essay, a one-page document briefly covering the following:
- The applicant’s background
- A list of any awards or special recognition received from community, high school, sorority, fraternity, civic, agricultural, or religious organizations in which the applicant is or has been a member
- Involvement and awards from 4-H, FFA, Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair or local or state fairs
- The applicant’s leadership roles within these organizations.
- Three original letters of recommendation, preferably on the letterhead of the person providing the recommendation.
The application form, the applicant's essay, and the three recommendation letters must be submitted together to the offices of the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair. The deadline for submission is October 1, 2025.
Please refrain from folding or stapling any part of the application packet. The complete scholarship packet can be mailed, emailed, or hand-delivered. Complete packets (application, essay, and 3 recommendation letters) received by the deadline will be evaluated by the Scholarship Committee. The Committee's decision is final. All applicants will be informed of the outcome during the first week of the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair, when the scholarship recipients will be announced.
