The Scholarship Program of the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition was established to acknowledge and celebrate Miami's youth who have shown a high level of dedication and involvement in both school and community activities. Each year, numerous scholarships are granted to students who are planning to attend a college, university, or trade school.

What is the scholarship amount?
Each recipient of the Scholarship will be awarded $1,000.
Who can apply for this scholarship?
The scholarship is aimed at senior high school students from public, private, and charter high schools who are planning to attend college.
Can home-schooled students apply?
Yes, all students who meet the requirements for college admission and are planning to attend a higher education institution are eligible to apply.
What about students from non-traditional backgrounds?
This comprehensive scholarship program is open to students from alternative education and adult vocational programs. Additionally, students from Florida International University who volunteer in The Youth Fair's performing arts division are eligible for the scholarship.
How does this program support agriculture?
Specific scholarships are set aside each year for students who intend to pursue careers in fields related to agriculture. The Youth Fair, a traditional county fair, was originally established in the 19th century as a means to advance modern farming.
How can I apply?
Download and fill out an application form, then submit the completed form to your high school’s CAP Advisor. Information for 2024 will be available in Fall 2023.
