Overview
Description: The Semi-Annual Pumphrey Law Scholarship supports U.S. students who are accepted to or currently enrolled in accredited colleges and universities. It recognizes academic achievement and good character and is awarded twice a year. Three recipients are selected each cycle and awards are paid directly to the recipients' educational institutions for tuition or other education-related expenses. Application materials are reviewed by the scholarship administrators and winners are notified following the review period.

Eligibility
Eligibility: Applicants must be U.S. residents and either accepted to or currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university. Candidates should demonstrate good character and a record of academic achievement. The scholarship is open to undergraduate or incoming students who meet the residency and enrollment criteria. Documentation of enrollment or acceptance is required at the time of application.

Application Requirements
Requirements: Applicants must submit the Pumphrey Law Scholarship application (apply online), a current unofficial high school or college transcript or enrollment verification, and a typed essay of 800–1,000 words. Essays may address one of several provided topics and applicants may submit entries for multiple topics. Ensure all materials are complete and formatted according to the application instructions before submission. Incomplete submissions may not be considered.

Submission Instructions
Submission: Completed application materials should be submitted by email to PumphreyLawScholarship@gmail.com. Do not call for submissions or general questions; all inquiries should be sent via email to the same address. Follow any additional submission guidance provided on the application portal and verify that attachments are legible and complete. Retain copies of all submitted documents for your records.

Awards
Award Value: Three winners are chosen each cycle and receive cash awards of $750 for first place, $500 for second place, and $250 for third place. Awards must be applied to tuition or other education-related expenses and are paid directly to the recipient’s educational institution. The selection committee determines winners based on the application materials and essay submissions. Exact disbursement timing and procedures are managed by the scholarship administrators.
