Harry Brereton Pulver Scholarship (administered by the Glens Falls Foundation)

Overview
By the bequest of Harry Brereton Pulver, the Glens Falls Foundation awards undergraduate scholarships to students from the local area who will attend Dartmouth College or Harvard University. Awards may be provided for up to four years of undergraduate study.

Eligibility
- Must be a resident of Warren, Washington, or Saratoga County, New York.
- Must demonstrate good moral character, satisfactory academic standing, and financial need.
- Initial applicants must be planning to attend Dartmouth College or Harvard University. Documentation of enrollment is required.

Award amount and disbursement
- Each recipient will be eligible for at least $2,000 per year for up to four years. The actual award may exceed this minimum depending on income from the Pulver Scholarship Fund and the number of qualified applicants in a given year.
- Scholarship payments are sent directly to the student each July.

Renewal requirements
- To continue receiving the scholarship in subsequent years, recipients must provide the Foundation with a letter from the Dean confirming successful completion of the most recent academic year.
- An official transcript must also be submitted in a sealed envelope sent directly from the college.

Required application materials
(Type or print legibly in black ink)
- Completed application form (available from the Glens Falls Foundation website at glensfallsfoundation.org).
- Copy of your financial aid award letter from Dartmouth or Harvard, if available. If you did not receive a formal financial aid letter, explain your financial circumstances in your essay.
- High school transcript showing grades through the first semester of senior year.
- A full list of extracurricular activities and volunteer service.
- At least two letters of recommendation.
- Documentation confirming that you will be attending Dartmouth or Harvard.
- An essay explaining how the Pulver Scholarship will help you reach your undergraduate goals; include any additional information you want the selection committee to consider that is not provided elsewhere in the application.

Deadlines and submission
- Initial applications for the upcoming academic year must be submitted by May 15.
