Qualification Criteria
- Enrolled in higher education such as college or vocational programs focusing on roofing or related fields. The related field should have relevance to the construction industry (e.g., building construction, waterproofing, etc.)
- Should demonstrate keen interest and enthusiasm in innovation and/or sustainability
- Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada
Not a student? We recognize that not everyone is suited for college. We welcome applications from individuals not intending to attend school, provided they meet the other criteria and can demonstrate a strong commitment and enthusiasm for joining the industry. Please specify the intended use of the scholarship funds in your application, if chosen.
PRIZE
The successful candidate will be awarded $1500 USD while the second place will receive $500 USD. Prizes are one-time only, but eligible participants can reapply every year.
JUDGING
Our team will review all applications. The winner of the Castagra Roofing Scholarship will be informed via email on Friday, September 12, 2025. We make the awards without discriminating based on race, belief, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or nationality.
APPLICATION METHOD

- We must receive your application by midnight PST on August 29, 2025
- Applications should include the applicant’s name, address, contact number, and email address
- Your application should include a 2-4 minute video OR a 500-1000 word essay outlining your academic and career aspirations and how you plan to contribute to the roofing industry. Applicants with a strong passion for sustainability and/or innovation will be given extra consideration.
