Ellis Family Education Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by 70th Infantry Division Association
The 70th Infantry Division Association has initiated the Ellis Family Education Scholarship, a program dedicated to supporting all Association members. This scholarship program is a tribute to the brave individuals who served in the 70th Infantry Division, particularly those who made the ultimate sacrifice during any U.S. military operation. Eligibility extends to relatives under 25 years of age of those who have served in the 70th Infantry Division and its successor organizations.
Application Process
The scholarship program offers up to four awards of $750 each. These funds can be utilized for various educational expenses such as room and board, tuition for graduate, undergraduate, and trade schools, library fees, textbooks, and other educational materials. To maintain their scholarship, recipients must uphold a "B" average and meet the required number of credit hours at their respective schools. Successful re-applicants may qualify for up to three additional annual awards. Applications should be submitted post high school graduation and prior to August 15 for the upcoming academic year. Reapplication simply requires a summary of the applicant's recent accomplishments and notable highlights, along with a certified copy of their grade transcripts. A committee comprised of 70th Infantry Division Association members will select the scholarship recipients before the commencement of the fall term.
