Iowa Arabian Horse Association Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Iowa Arabian Horse Association
The Iowa Arabian Horse Association (IaAHA) annually provides scholarship opportunities at the club level for both high school seniors who are graduating and members pursuing further education. The announcement of scholarship winners is a highlight of the annual Iowa Fall Society Horse Extravaganza.
The IaAHA awards the following scholarships:
- A $750.00 scholarship for a Graduating Senior
- A $750.00 scholarship for a Continuing Education student
Eligibility Criteria
For high school seniors graduating:
- The applicant, regardless of age, must have completed high school in the year of application.
- The applicant must be a member in good standing of the Iowa Arabian Horse Association.
For continuing education students:
- The applicant, regardless of age, must be enrolled in a two-year or four-year degree program.
- The applicant must be a member in good standing of the Iowa Arabian Horse Association.
Application Process
Applicants are advised to follow the instructions provided in the application form.
Essay Submission
As part of the application process, applicants are required to submit an essay of 500-1000 words on the topic provided on the scholarship page of the club's website. Applicants are encouraged to include original artwork, drawings, photography, poetry, etc. to enhance their essay. The essay will be evaluated based on content (50%), creativity (25%), and grammar/mechanics (25%).
