Mary Hill Davis Scholarship

Overview
Texas Baptists value higher education that is grounded in a Christian environment. One prominent expression of that commitment is the Mary Hill Davis Ethnic/Minority Scholarship Program, which awards grants to promising young people from ethnic and minority backgrounds so they can pursue a Christian college education.
Funding
Scholarships are financed by the Mary Hill Davis Offering for Texas Missions, which is collected annually under the sponsorship of the Woman’s Missionary Union of Texas.
Purpose
The Mary Hill Davis Scholarship program exists to encourage and support Texas Baptist ethnic and minority students who are preparing to serve as future lay and vocational leaders in Texas Baptist ethnic/minority congregations. It is aimed at students working toward a bachelor’s degree at one of the following Texas Baptist institutions:

Legacy
Inspired by Isaiah’s exhortation to “Learn to do well,” this scholarship ministry seeks to equip deserving students for more effective service in Christ’s name.
