WREA Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Wyoming Rural Electric Association
The aim of these scholarships is to foster and instruct potential lineworkers, paving the way for long-lasting and fulfilling careers within Wyoming's electric cooperatives.
WREA Linemen Scholarship
The WREA Linemen Scholarship is an annual program that provides financial aid to one or more individuals, including recent high school graduates, who are keen on pursuing a lineworker career and have plans to enroll in a recognized regional lineworker training program.
For consideration, applicants are required to submit the application form, a resume outlining their educational background and work history, three recommendation letters, and a grade transcript. (If the applicant has not been enrolled in an educational institution for the past three years prior to the application, the transcript is not required.)
Applications must be submitted to WREA by March 1st at the latest.
Adkins Linemen Scholarship
The Adkins Linemen Scholarship was founded by Bill and Toni Adkins in honor of their son Neil, who tragically lost his life in a car accident in June 2009 shortly after embarking on his lineworker career. The scholarship grants $500 to one individual who intends to enroll in a recognized regional lineworker program. Bill and Toni's hope is that this scholarship will assist a deserving student in achieving a prosperous career in the electric industry.
For consideration, applicants are required to submit the application form, two recommendation letters from teachers or employers, and a grade transcript.
Applications must be submitted to the WREA by March 1st at the latest.
Dar Hackworth Linemen Scholarship

For consideration, applicants are required to submit the application form, two recommendation letters from teachers or employers, and a grade transcript.
