Intro
The FICPA Scholarship Foundation provides financial awards to students studying accounting or closely related majors who intend to become Certified Public Accountants in Florida. These scholarships help support the next generation of CPAs and the broader accounting profession in the state.

Applications for the 2026 cycle will open on January 1.
About the scholarships
- Awards are available to students pursuing accounting or a related field, with individual scholarships valued up to $5,000.
- Recipients are expected to be working toward a CPA career and Florida certification requirements.
Who is eligible
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be enrolled as a full-time or part-time college student, as defined by their institution.
- Be majoring in Accounting or a closely related discipline.
- Be an active member of the FICPA (student membership is free — join online).
- Hold a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and a minimum 3.0 upper-level accounting GPA at the time of application.
- Be a rising senior or a graduate student and have completed at least one upper-division accounting course by the time of submission.
- Plan to sit for the CPA exam and be actively pursuing the requirements for CPA certification in Florida.
- Express an intention to work in Florida after certification.
- Be a United States citizen or possess permanent resident status.
- Be enrolled at one of the Foundation’s partner Florida colleges or universities that offer an accredited accounting program (partner list below).

Foundation background and recent impact
The FICPA Scholarship Foundation has invested in aspiring accountants since 1959. In 2025 the Foundation awarded more than 60 scholarships to promising accounting students representing 20 universities across Florida.
